SR Enduro Endurance -- SOLD!
This saddle has been sold!
SR Enduro Endurance Saddle #792. Gorgeous and gently used with 17" Double Padded seat (which is extra$$ and does not even show on the website). This saddle will fit medium to narrow width horses, but not a wide, and will not work for a horse that is downhill, more for a flatter backed horse. (My mare is ridge-backed and it did not work for her.) You can have it refitted for your horse for $150 thru SR Saddles, but that would depend on your horse. And would be a question for Steve Ray Gonzalez. The bars of the saddle from front to back are 24" long. Not for a short backed horse. Original SR stirrup fenders. Brass fittings with a crupper attachment, Long latigo straps. Saddle weighs approximately 24 lbs.
This is a well built saddle with quality leather and hand crafted. The tree is a fiberglass figure 8 flex tree, there are pictures of it on the SR saddle website under "features". It comes with Easy Care aluminum stirrups. The original stirrups fenders were too long for me so I had stirrup fenders made for me (by Marilyn Horstmeyer who makes Desoto Saddles) I am only 5`1" and have a 29" inseam and the stirrup fenders Marilyn made will fit up to a person who is 5`4" or 5`5" they are the same color as the saddle and will come with it if you want them. The original stirrup fenders are in excellent shape and are made for a 36" inseam. The saddle is fit for anyone from a 40-43" and up hip, and with a 24" thigh and up (for fit between the poleys). I never used the original fenders, since they are too long for me, and they are great condition.
The fenders on the SR saddles are more size specific than other saddles. You need to check your length of leg in the saddle you ride in now. This measurement is measured from the center line in the seat (spine line)... where you sit (seat bone area)... with a tape measure lying on the saddles surface...straight down to the flat tread or step where you contact the ball of your foot in the stirrup. Do not measure in a curved line, as in to follow your knee position. Measure a straight line. This is your riding inseam in a saddle.
The double padded seat is fantastic! I have RA and the padding was heaven for me. A charcoal colored sheepskin will come with the saddle if you want it. I also have a purple Skito Dryback Pad with 1" inserts that was made for this saddle, and can be included for an additional $200.
The saddle without the Skito Pad is $1400, with the pad $1600. Shipping will be around $100 depending on where you are located. We can work on that together. Contact Pam at firstname.lastname@example.org.
